We Completed R&D of the 'Universal Control Center'

We successfully completed the last stage of a research project supported by the European Union under the Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness (OP EIC), Call APPLICATION – Call VII.

The project titled "Research and development of a universal control center for complex management of energy production from RES and CHP with energy accumulation in connection with a charging station regarding energy consumption of objects at low voltage", registration number CZ.01.1.02/0.0/0.0/19_262/0020232, was launched in January 2020, divided into three stages, and completed at the end of 2022. It is currently in the sustainability period.

The goal of the project was to develop an ideal control system that allows effective management of energy sources (photovoltaic power plants, cogeneration units, wind power plants) and at the same time ensures efficient charging and discharging of accumulators so that continuous and reliable operation of appliances at the low voltage level is achieved.

The developed "Universal Control Center" has wide use – from managing phases of electricity production and consumption, through online analysis in a cloud environment, monitoring, warnings, and ALERT states, to automatic energy management, backup power function, billing and tarification, and detailed statistics and modeling.

The project partner within the consortium was NWT a.s. from Zlín.
