Continuing endangered species adoption: this year we support a caracal
Protecting nature is a long-term commitment for us at YOUNG4ENERGY. Just as we work to modernise the energy sector and look for sustainable technology solutions, we also want to contribute where it’s about nature itself. That’s why we are once again supporting animal adoption at the Zoological Garden and Botanical Park Ostrava.
Last year, we adopted a serval. As this beautiful cat left for another European zoo as part of a breeding programme, Ostrava Zoo offered us the chance to take over the adoption of a related species – the caracal. And we didn’t hesitate.
A small but special story from our visit
Our colleagues regularly visit Ostrava Zoo with their children – many of them even have annual passes. During one of the November visits, they experienced something truly special. The caracal enclosure was closed, and the reason was wonderful – three caracal cubs had recently been born at Ostrava Zoo.
Zoos play an irreplaceable role in the protection of endangered species, in expert care and in education. Supporting these activities is one of the simplest ways we can directly contribute to the protection of biodiversity.
Looking ahead
We’re happy to be part of something bigger – and that through adoption we can support a species that is currently doing very well in Ostrava. Supporting the zoo is a small step, but it carries big meaning.
Many thanks to Ostrava Zoo for the cooperation and to everyone who treats nature conservation as part of their everyday responsibility.
